False or misleading statements by Donald Trump

Donald Trump has made tens of thousands of misleading statements since he became President of the United States. Fact-checkers at The Washington Post found 30,573 false or misleading claims in his first term. This is an average of 20.9 per day.[1] Steve Bannon was the CEO for Trump's 2016 campaign. He said the press was Trump's main adversary (enemy) and that he could deal with them through "flood[ing] the zone with shit."[4] Here, flooding the zone means making so many false statements that people do not know which one to focus on. This means there is not very much trouble for Trump over a single lie.
