Exploding whale

There are numerous cases of whales "exploding". This most commonly happens naturally due to gas building up inside of a dead whale, there are rare instances where people decided to make use of explosives for this purpose.

The most infamous case where people provocated a rather rapid disasembly of a whale carcass using explosives was in 1970 when a dead sperm whale washed up in Oregon. A member of the Oregon Highway Division decided it was a smart way to dispose of its rotting carcass. It was very bad.
