Travis Harp is an American firefighter and Republican politician serving as a member of the Bella Vista City Council, representing Ward 1, Position 1 in Bella Vista, Arkansas.[1]

Political career

Harp was elected to the Bella Vista City Council in 2025 and has focused on issues related to business development and city governance.[2] He has publicly supported reducing fees and permits for small businesses within the city.[3]

In 2024, Harp drew regional media attention during the Bella Vista City Council runoff election when he was endorsed by his opponent, a move covered by several outlets including 5NEWS and KNWA/FOX24.[4][5]

Firefighting career

Outside of politics, Harp works as a firefighter/paramedic in Arkansas and has earned the Chief Fire Officer (CFO) and Chief Emergency Medical Services Officer (CEMSO) certifications from the Center for Public Safety Excellence.[6]

He was promoted to lieutenant in 2023 and has participated in community safety and training initiatives, including tornado response and active shooter preparedness.[7][8][9][10][11][12]
