Transmissions of Chaos is a split EP by American thrash metal band Vektor and Dutch thrash metal band Cryptosis, released on February 25, 2021. The EP is the first release by Cryptosis following their band rename from Distillator a year prior.[1] The EP also marked the first new material since the reforming of Vektor, who had gone on a hiatus in 2016 when guitarist Erik Nelson, bassist Frank Chin, and drummer Blake Anderson resigned from the band amidst domestic abuse allegations surrounding vocalist/guitarist David DiSanto.[2] Cryptosis and Vektor each contributed two original songs for the EP; both tracks by Cryptosis were later included on their debut studio album, Bionic Swarm, a month later.[3]
Three singles were released ahead of Transmissions of Chaos: "Decypher" and "Prospect of Immortality" by Cryptosis[4][5], and "Activate" by Vektor.[6]
