Stockpress is a privately held digital asset management (DAM) software company headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts. [1]

History

[edit]

Stockpress was founded by Chief Executive Officer Jessica Storry, Chief Technology Officer Bartosz Romanowski, Chief Creative Officer Kamila Romanowska, and Chief Revenue Officer Ian Parkes in 2018. The founding team built Stockpress to overcome the challenges they faced using traditional file-sharing and digital asset management tools.[1]

Product

[edit]

The Stockpress platform offers tools for file sharing, version control, metadata tagging, user permissions, AI-powered tagging, and custom metadata mapping. The product is used by distributed teams in creative, media, higher education, and enterprise organizations as an alternative to traditional DAM or file-sharing systems. [2]

Funding

[edit]

In November 2023, Stockpress raised $1.8 million in a seed funding round led by Argon Ventures, with participation from York IE, Two Lanterns Venture Capital, Deftly VC, and others.[3][4]

The funding brought the company’s total capital raised to approximately $2.5 million. The company said the funds would be used to expand product features, grow its engineering and sales teams, and scale go-to-market efforts.[5]

Clients and Adoption

[edit]

As of late 2023, Stockpress served more than 17,000 users and customers. [1] Clients include KingFish + Partners, Shutterstock, and Georgetown University.[1]

Leadership

[edit]

In a 2023 interview, Storry said that the company aims to “make file sharing and collaboration easier” for modern teams, focusing on usability and scalability for distributed organizations.[6]
