Comment: This draft is written from the viewpoint of the company, focusing on what the company says about itself. Corporate notability is based on what independent reliable sources have written about the subject. Not every business corporation is notable, and this draft does not establish corporate notability. Quinyx is a software company specialising in AI-powered workforce management (WFM) solutions.[1][2] Founded by Erik Fjellborg, the company provides cloud-based tools for scheduling, time reporting and employee engagement, primarily serving frontline industries such as retail, hospitality, logistics, facility management and healthcare.[2][3][4]The platform uses artificial intelligence (AI) to automate scheduling and align workforce operations with business objectives, aiming to improve efficiency, cut costs, and employee engagement.[5]
History
[edit]Quinyx was founded in Stockholm, Sweden, after Erik Fjellborg, then high school student and part-time employee at McDonald's, identified inefficiencies in manual shift scheduling.[6][7] He developed a web-based solution to streamline workforce planning, which McDonald's adopted as Quinyx’s first customer.
The company quickly expanded across Europe and later into the United States, establishing offices in the UK, Germany, Finland, Norway, Denmark, the Netherlands, and Boston, USA. The company has now powered workforce operations in over 50 countries, for brands such as McDonald's, Starbucks, Burger King, Swarovski, Boots, HMV, WHSmith and Odeon Cinemas Group.[2][3][8][9]
