Leonardo Perdomo (born 1992) is a Cuban former amateur boxer and current bare-knuckle boxer. He currently competes in the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC). As of March 26, 2025, he is ranked #1 in the BKFC Heavyweight rankings.[1] He was also a member of the Cuban national boxing team.[2]

Amateur Boxing Career

Perdomo was part of Cuba's national boxing team, where he amassed nearly 200 amateur matches.[3]

Rising Career in BKFC

Leonardo Perdomo made a name for himself in the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC). In his debut fight in June 2023, he defeated Joseph White with a first-round TKO, getting himself recognized in the heavyweight division. His follow-up fight in August 2023 saw another first-round TKO victory over Ryan Shough, solidifying his position as one of the rising stars in the[4] promotion[5].[6][7][8] In his latest fight against Steve Herelius he knocked him out in the first round and nearly broke the record by one second.[9][10][11][12][13] On September 12th 2025 Perdomo was set for a rematch against Arnold Adams following a first round knockout in the prequel[14] and it was deemed 'Redemption or Domination'. Perdomo won by first round knockout.[15] In the following week after the fight Perdomo would make comments to the BKFC champion Ben Rothwell[16][17]

Weigh-In Brawl

Tensions between Leonardo Perdomo and Steve Herelius during the BKFC 70 weigh-in in Hollywood, Florida. As the two exchanged words, the altercation had to be broken up by officials and security.[18][19][20]

Recognition in Cuba

Perdomo’s success in BKFC has garnered attention both in Cuba and internationally. His knockout victories, particularly his13-second knockout of Steve Herelius, have made him a popular figure in Cuban combat sports. .[21]
