Lao Star Channel (stylised as LAO STAR, Lao: ລາວສຕາຣ໌) is a commercial and state-owned private Laotian television channel[1] that launched on September 2, 2008. It is the first satellite television in Laos.

History
[edit]Founded in 2007, M Group, one of Thailand's largest print company, aimed to launched two Lao-Star satellites. One year later, the Laotian broadcasters had to launch the television station on Galaxy 25 satellite.[2] Lao-Star broadcasts an amount of content like news, cultural programs, talk shows, and entertainment.
In 2016, it consisted of K-pop content[3] within a few years; the author of Laos in my memory said:
