Comment: This is a good draft, but there are no WP:RS cited. The sources all belong to the military, and would present WP:PRIMARY issues with establishing notability. Jcgaylor (talk) 23:40, 5 November 2025 (UTC)

The 1107th Theater Aviation Support Group (TASMG) is an aviation support unit of the Missouri Army National Guard, located in Springfield, Missouri. The unit provides theater-level aviation sustainment, maintenance, and logistics to aviation forces. It is one of only four theater support groups in the Army National Guard[1].
History
[edit]The 1107th Theater Aviation Support Group (TASMG) formed in Springfield, Missouri, on 1 September 1988.[2]

After 9/11, the 1107th was activated for multiple Global War on Terror deployments. In 2003, parts of the unit deployed to Kuwait and Iraq under Operation Iraqi Freedom, repairing helicopters and aviation components in theater for all units.
The group returned in 2008–2009, supporting combat aviation brigades in both Iraq and Afghanistan.
The unit is based in a specialized regional facility completed in 2023.[3][4]
Activities
[edit]In 2013-2014, it again deployed to Kuwait under Operation Enduring Freedom, acting as the theatre sustainment hub overseeing component repair, parts distribution, and technical support across forward operating bases.
In recent years, the 1107th returned to Kuwait during 2018–2019 for Operation Spartan Shield and Inherent Resolve, continuing support for U.S. and coalition rotary-wing aircraft operating in Iraq and Syria.[5]
In 2020, while stationed at Camp Buehring, the group performed avionics and airframe repairs, including reassembling CH-47 Chinooks and UH-60 Black Hawks for the arriving 82nd Airborne Division.[2][6] A transfer of authority ceremony with the incoming 1108th TASMG at Camp Arifjan in August 2020 marked one of its later theater transitions.[7]
Today, the 1107th remains one of only four Army National Guard TASMGs in the country, making it a significant aviation sustainment resource not only for the National Guard, but for active duty on aviation and equipment repair.[2]

Organization
[edit]TASMG Structure:
- Headquarters & Headquarters Company – Springfield, Missouri AVCRAD
- Company A (Aviation Support)
- Company B (Ground Support)
