The Commodore 128 (short C128) was A Commodore 64 personal computer model with 128 KB of memory. Realeased by Commodore International In 1985, it had a 8-bit MOS Technology 8502 CPU, and a Z80A for CP/M compatibility. Its life span was 1985-1989, it was compatible with the Commodore 64, it was not popular nor sold well as the Commodore 64. Commdore already was working on the 16-bit system Commodore Amiga, more powerful than the Commodore 128, and the C128 was left as a failure
