Category:Articles using duplicate arguments in template calls
Appearance
This is a maintenance category, used for maintenance of the Wikipedia project. It is not part of the encyclopedia and contains non-article pages, or groups articles by status rather than subject. Do not include this category in content categories (except for eponymous maintenance categories).
This is a tracking category. It builds and maintains a list of pages primarily for the sake of the list itself. They are not part of the encyclopedia's categorization scheme.
- This category is hidden on its member pages—unless the corresponding user preference (Appearance → Show hidden categories) is set.
- These categories can be used to track, build and organize lists of pages needing "attention en masse" (for example, pages using deprecated syntax), or that may need to be edited at someone's earliest convenience.
- These categories also serve to aggregate members of several lists or sub-categories into a larger, more efficient list (discriminated by classifications).
If this category has 50 items or more, it will be reported as a backlog. ()
Administrators: Please do not delete this category as empty!
This category may be empty occasionally or even most of the time. This category contains articles with template calls that pass the same argument (parameter value) more than once, such as {{foo|bar=1|bar=2}} and {{foo|bar|1=baz}}. When the same parameter is given a value more than once in a template, only the final value of that parameter is used to display the template.
- When checking Preview, any double parameter (and its template) will be listed in top as an error.
See Help:Duplicate parameters for more details and tips. Other venues to find duplicates:
- A script tool to list the duplicate arguments on a page is available at: User:Frietjes/findargdups
- WPCleaner detects the duplicate arguments on analyzed pages, and is able to automatically fix some of them
