Area codes 559 and 357 are telephone area codes in the state of California in the United States. It serves the central part of the state, including cities like Fresno, Clovis, Visalia, and Hanford. It was created on November 14, 1998, when it was split from area code 209. It was overlaid by 357 in 2025.[1]
