Anti-Chinese sentiment (also known as Sinophobia) is fear or hatred of China, its people, its culture, or its diaspora. The main target of this discrimination are ethnic Chinese minorities living outside of Greater China. It often makes influences in immigration. Its opposite is Sinophilia, which is the love for China, its people, or its culture.
According to a poll from 2022, the countries polled with the highest negative views of China are South Korea (88% of the population has a negative opinion on China), Japan (78% of the population has a negative opinion on China), Sweden (73% of the population has a negative opinion on China), Norway (70% of the population has a negative opinion on China), and Austria (70% of the population has a negative opinion on China).[1][better source needed]
