The 53rd Newfoundland and Labrador general election will be held on or before October 9, 2029 to elect the 53rd general assembly of Newfoundland and Labrador.[1]

The province's last general election was held on October 14, 2025. Newfoundland and Labrador law requires elections to be held "on the second Tuesday in October in the fourth calendar year following the polling day at the most recently held general election." The Lieutenant-Governor may, at the request of the Premier, call an election earlier. Provincial law also requires an election be called within 12 months of a premier resigning to allow for a new leader of their party to become premier.[1]
