New Member Intro
[edit]Hello. I am new to Wikipedia and I'm working on my first article/biography for McKenna McKee, who is an American track cyclist (16x national champion; three-time UCI World Championships team member) with type 1 diabetes. I've tried multiple times to get her biography accepted, even though a couple of her teammates' bio's were accepted with still-existing rule violations and no apparent revisions for some time. I believe the info on McKenna is significantly better documented than other similar pages. McKenna also has type 1 diabetes (since age 6). Managing this disease and being an elite athlete I believe is notable, and should be included in Wikipedia. Any help you can provide me is greatly appreciated.
As for me, I started more-dedicated cycling in 1979. Over that span of time, I have ridden many disciplines of cycling: century and double-century rides; 39 yrs of track racing/riding (some US sr natls, masters natz, UCI masters), 45 yrs racing total that also included TT's, criteriums, road races, MTB, cyclocross, and gravel.
Once I'm successful getting M's article/biography published, I would be very interested in contributing more to this group! Let me know what next steps I need to take. Thank you!

Renewi Tour or Benelux Tour?
[edit]I have noticed that the following page Benelux Tour is entitled 'Benelux Tour' but the page itself says that in 2023 its name changed to the 'Renewi Tour'. Shouldn't the title reflect this change or are we keeping the original name to reflect its roots? It's worth noting that ProCyclingStats lists the race as the Renewi Tour.
Any advice is appreciated about changing or not changing the name. Belgiumophile (talk) 13:43, 30 November 2025 (UTC)
- I can't quote the exact policy, but I think on the whole we lean towards established historical names rather than short-term sponsored names when they are equally, or more, recognisable. Amstel Gold race has no other name, but on the otherhand, I see that we have the E3 Harelbeke at E3 Saxo Bank Classic, and the ADAC Cyclassics at Hamburg Cyclassics so there isn't great consistency either way. Inconsistencies on page
[edit]Hi, I’ve been editing this page List of men's road bicycle races and I’ve noticed quite a lot of inconsistencies that I would like to fix. What do you all think?
1. Some of the lists are in chronological order but others aren’t. Is it worth changing them all to be chronological?
2. The way that the lists are categorised also has some inconsistencies. Some use the numbered classification (1.1, 1.2, 1. Pro etc.) whereas the one-day world tour races are listed as ‘monuments’ and then ‘other elite races’. Do you think that it is worth making list titles consistent?
I was thinking that for world tour one day races I would put WorldTour Races as the main title then ‘monuments’ and ‘other world tour races’ as the subtitles.
3. I was doing some research on 1. Pro and 1.1 one day races for the respective sections. On the page, there are not many of either of these races but while looking on procyclingstats.com at its own list of these races there seemed to be much more. Should these lists be updated to include all of the races listed (for example ? (I will check on another website to cross-reference).
Any advice about editing this page is appreciated Belgiumophile (talk) 17:32, 1 December 2025 (UTC)
