"What a Diff'rence a Day Made" as recorded "What a Diff'rence a Day Makes" is a popular song written in Spanish in 1934 with the title "Cuando vuelva a tu lado" ("When I Return to Your Side"). In 1959 it was recorded in English as What a Diff'rence a Day Makes by Dinah Washington and won a Grammy Award in 1959. It was a hit again in 1975 with Esther Phillips using a bit of disco thrown into it.
