Speedy deletion nomination of Category:User mnk
[edit]
A tag has been placed on Category:User mnk indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and removing the speedy deletion tag. Liz Read! Talk! 07:45, 15 January 2025 (UTC)
Hello. You're invited to participate in The World Destubathon. We're aiming to destub a lot of articles and also improve longer stale articles. It commenced yesterday on Monday June 16 and will run until Sunday July 13. There is over $3300 going into it, with $500 the top prize. If you are interested in winning something to save you money in buying books for future content, or just see it as a good editathon opportunity to see a lot of articles improved for subjects which interest you, sign up on the page in the participants section if interested. Even if you can only manage a few articles they would be very much appreciated and help make the content produced as diverse and broad as possible! Feel free to invite others who you think might want to contribute.♦ Dr. Blofeld 09:24, 17 June 2025 (UTC)
Excellent work on Gambian cuisine
[edit]You have added a lot to this article! Wow! I live in the U.S. and my only connection to the subject is that there's a Senegambian restaurant in my neighborhood that I love! (I don't eat meat very often but yassa poulet is one of my exceptions!) Please understand that most of my contributions to Wikipedia are proofreading and style editing based in large part on the Wikipedia style manual, and I keep my edit summaries comprehensive but succinct; I never intend to be unpleasant, but only to document what I did to the article. If I have substantive questions about anything you've added, I'll always raise them at Talk:Gambian cuisine rather than your personal talk page so that article-related discussion can be kept in one place anyone can find.
I haven't been to Africa yet, but I visited Kingston in 1992 to visit my best friend's cousin who was a U.S. State Department officer stationed there (not to go to a beach resort!); it was one of my favorite experiences, and not only because I learned I loved soursop. Please keep improving the encyclopedia and finding all the reliable sources you can for Gambian topics (they don't have to be online but we need all the verifiability possible).
Again, I appreciate your hard work; it would be great if you could look at Wikipedia's stylistic boldfacing guidelines so these articles can look even better. Take care! - Julietdeltalima (talk) 06:25, 18 October 2025 (UTC)
