Peace is a state of balance and understanding in yourself and between others, where respect is gained by the acceptance of differences, tolerance persists, conflicts are resolved through dialog, peoples rights are respected and their voices are heard, and everyone is at their highest point of serenity without social tension
The Principle of Least Drama says that given a choice between several ways of dealing with a problem, pick the one that generates the least drama. If the only approach you can think of is laden with drama, sign off for the night. You may think of a new alternative in the morning, or someone else may have implemented a better approach. Wikipedia:Drama#The_Principle_of_Least_Drama
Patriotism means to stand by the country. It does not mean to stand by the President Theodore Roosevelt, 26th President of the United State
- nor does it mean that the president should be idolized as a King.
Two Women Talking
[edit]Thank you for preventing perennial edit wars by simply editing to coalesce divergent views. You've earned the gratitude of the WP Community! I'm always so very impressed with your clarity of thought and clear expression of tolerance toward the wayward and pernicious inclinations of ludicrous hullabaloo-ers.

[edit]I see you are curious about live feeds updating the current BB27 page. I understand the frustration and hurt by seeing the spoiler as I was confused the first time I found the pages on Big Brother 11. Julie Chen Moonves does however encourage viewers to watch the live feeds and see "what is happening live inside the Big Brother house" From viewing it is no different than sports tournament pages that update life as matches and games are finished. The page usually updates post HoH comp, initial noms post veto comp, post veto noms, and then again post eviction.
Example: Right now the US open is happening and matches are being completed now. I haven't watched some them yet, though the matches are still updated as such. I just avoid them as I haven't watched them yet but may look if I do not plan on watching them just to see the outcome. JoyfullySmile (talk) 03:22, 25 August 2025 (UTC)
- I love Julie Chen but I doubt she edits Wikipedia. While I was at work today I recorded the Cubs late afternoon game so I could watch it in the evening. I had the opportunity to listen to the game on the radio during the ride home, but resisted. I didn't want to spoil my enjoyment of watching the game. I didn't want to know who did what and when and why and what the final score was. I hate knowing that Mickie wins the veto. I shouldn't know that until next Wednesday. What I said elsewhere is True: "The unpredictable journey is damaged if outcomes are known ahead of time." Anyway, I'll drop the stick but I'm not happy about it. Buster Seven Talk (UTC) 06:07, 25 August 2025 (UTC)
- But I guarantee the 2025 Chicago Cubs season page was updated even though you did not watch it live. Sucks to have happen but so glad you avoided the spoilers from the game and could experience it in your own time. JoyfullySmile (talk) 06:46, 25 August 2025 (UTC)

Eddy: suggested image
[edit]Hi Buster7, when it comes time to give the Eddy to CaddyShack, how about using this image of the Supreme Court building? Directly indicates one of their areas of work.

I'm quite happy about my friend Wehwalt being honoured this week, but don't understand why Tosca is not linked ;) - His user name is taken from an opera, DYK? - I am pleased with the image, but the caption is misleading, (too) short for "To the memory of the scuttled, the banned, and those who have just given up." You may have noticed that I quote the same (also shortened) in my memory and music. It's about people, not ships. -- Gerda Arendt (talk) 21:20, 11 October 2025 (UTC)
- Wehwalt took the image himself on July 8, 2012. The caption is the name of the image. Sorry for not linking Tosca. I use the nomination and the seconds that are presented for consideration. Buster Seven Talk (UTC) 05:34, 12 October 2025 (UTC)
- I know that he took the image. Would you put you private distress into a public image name? The event made me contemplate leaving, - the only time. I worked on retaining myself, and successfully as you can tell ;) It happened almost exactly 13 years ago. I was at the birthday of a friend, on a bright day in the Salzburg Alps. The birthday is tomorrow. I remember like yesterday how helpless I felt. (I would have been no help on a computer either.) - Back to today: I am proud to have brought two performing women to the main page. Sadly, death kept both from performing more, one sooner the other much later. If you have little time just listen to the one who died young and see if it touches you (in today's story, - I don't want to sprinkle youtube links outside my user pages). --Gerda Arendt (talk) 18:56, 12 October 2025 (UTC)
- I am sad that I had to bring two more people there. At least the video in my story is cute, made for children. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 19:30, 14 October 2025 (UTC)
- My latest: Roberta Alexander, - listen. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 20:27, 20 October 2025 (UTC)

Archiving of editor of the week nomination talk page
[edit]Regarding this edit: archiving for page should have already been handled by ClueBot III. I like how that bot tries to fix up links to discussions when it moves them to the archive page. However, that does mean the bot gets overloaded for pages that are frequently linked to by other pages, causing it to stop processing, so typically high-traffic pages are archived by Lowercase sigmabot III (the successor to Mizrabot) to avoid halting Cluebot III. It's not a big deal, though (I'm just providing some background). Plus MediaWiki now has a feature where it tries to find a discussion thread in archive pages if it is no longer on the talk page, and provides a popup with links to any that it finds. isaacl (talk) 00:00, 24 October 2025 (UTC)

Thank you for the Editor of the Week award (and a small request)
[edit]Hello @Buster7,
I'm fbgpwns5277, who received the Editor of the Week award today.
First of all, I'd like to express my sincere gratitude for the award and for creating the banner.
If it's not too much trouble, may I kindly ask for a small edit to the banner? The "notable work" currently lists South Korea at the 2016 Summer Olympics, which I edited about nine years ago. I feel that it no longer reflects my recent contributions and the reasons for this award. If possible, could you please update it to Category:People of the Imjin War — which I've recently devoted much effort to — or simply remove the notable work section altogether? If that's not feasible, please feel free to disregard this request.
Once again, thank you so much for all your hard work and kindness! Fbgpwns5277 (talk) 04:21, 9 November 2025 (UTC)

Clovermoss is missing from the Eddys Hall of Fame
[edit]Hi Buster7, I noticed that Clovermoss is listed as EotWeek for December 10, 2023:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:WikiProject_Editor_Retention/Editor_of_the_Week
However, her Eddy infobox is not shown in the Hall of Fame : the list of 2023 recipients ends with Novem Linguae, December 7, 2023.

Just curious; maybe she wants it that way? but just thought I'd inquire in case it's an oversight. Mr Serjeant Buzfuz (talk) 03:00, 14 November 2025 (UTC)
Done Yes, It WAS an oversight. Thanks for catching it. Buster Seven Talk (UTC) 06:28, 14 November 2025 (UTC)
