Question from Awesomecat713 (20:00, 24 November 2025)

[edit]
Note: Awesomecat713's mentor Rambley is away.

Hi, I’m writing a draft article right now for The Educated Imagination by Northrop Frye (I am studying this work right now and noticed a redlink to the article). It was in the Massey lectures and given as a series of talks before being published in 1964 as a book. How should I categorize it or write the article? Should they be split into two separate articles? Thanks. --— Awesomecat / / / 20:00, 24 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Awesomecat713. You can continue working in your userspace draft, but which article are you referring to (not your userspace draft)? Codename Noreste (discusscontribs) 16:02, 25 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
The article for Northrop Frye has a redlink in the Works section to The Educated Imagination — Awesomecat / / / 23:53, 25 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
So, given that The Educated Imagination in your userspace draft has only an infobox, a sentence lead and three references, it might make more sense to add it as a new section in Northrop Frye. Codename Noreste (discusscontribs) 02:34, 27 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Gibraltar Historian. You can read Wikipedia:Citing sources, which is a guideline that explains about a citation and how to add one to an article. Thanks. Codename Noreste (discusscontribs) 22:44, 27 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Question from 36Flames (13:11, 3 December 2025)

[edit]

Hello Codename Noreste, I was learning and observing AfD process. Came across with multiple questions. For example, Kotak Mutual Fund (Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Kotak Mutual Fund). This article has been removed after several years within Wikipedia. Can you please let me know what could be the actual reason? - I did some research about content where it was promotional (products & services) - Citations were also not notable, not checked the entire history though. - I have viewed that at times we have multiple AfD drives participating. And if we want to create a new article, then retrieving/refunding can be an option? --36Flames (talk) 13:11, 3 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, 36Flames. I looked at the AfD you linked here and it resulted in being redirected to another related article, which means the article you created still contains its history and it’s not deleted at all. You might also want to take a look at WP:REFUND, where it has several options to either undelete non-controversially deleted pages under specific CSD criteria, or the deleted content can be userfied at your request. Codename Noreste (discusscontribs) 18:01, 3 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Ok thanks, @Codename Noreste. Is it good to be deletionist like this or better to opt for Counter Vandalism Unit? My Notability concept requires some understanding though. -- 36Flames (talk) 14:42, 4 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
36Flames, being a deletionist might require a somewhat an advanced knowledge of notability guidelines and those [knowledges] listed at Wikipedia:New page patrol. These might be difficult, so I would probably suggest you should watch the recent changes feed to patrol for vandalism and spam. Codename Noreste (discusscontribs) 15:10, 4 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Codename Noreste, Hmm true. I will start working on patrolling vandalism and spam, post 15 Dec 2025 as running little busy these days. ~~ 36Flames (talk) 15:34, 4 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Kelly Bailey (composer), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Ghost in the Machine.
