Soliformovum irregularisSoliformovum irregulare@Patriciovidal04: Soliformovum irregulare seems to be the more common spelling. I think the issue relates to matching Latin gender between genus and species. Лисан аль-Гаиб (talk) 10:22, 22 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Support. It seems irregularis is used more and that irregularis appears in older works. It does look like a gender correction. The nomenclature site "nomen.eumycetozoa.com" uses Soliformovum irregulare.  —  Jts1882 | talk  16:46, 22 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Sounds good to me, what should I do then? I'm new to Wikipedia. Patriciovidal04 (talk) 16:43, 23 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Two main things. (1) Move the page using the tab labelled "move" at the top of the page. Change the name to use "irregulare" and add something like "corrected binomial spelling (see talk page)" for the reason. (2) make changes to the name in the article, including the taxobox, to use the new name. As a new editor, it's good to jump in, so I'll leave it to you. There are usually more experienced editors to help out and pick up mistakes, so don't worry about learning errors. I'll be watching the page so if you have further questions, just ask here on the talk page.  —  Jts1882 | talk  16:57, 23 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
To be honest, I don't mind if someone else does the changes. I mainly did this article for a university course and just wanted to see it get published. Patriciovidal04 (talk) 19:39, 28 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
