@Estopedist1: I notice you reverted my edit that added the blp=other attribute to the banner shell, questioning whether there were living persons involved. The article mentions the group was founded by Henn Kask in 1991 and named after its then commanding officer, Lembit Kolk, in 1993. According to Wikipedia's policy on biographies of living persons, that policy applies to anyone born within the last 115 years, unless there is reliable evidence they are dead. See WP:BDP. Without having evidence to the contrary, I have assumed that a commanding officer in 1993 is still living today. The attribute also serves as a reminder to editors that the WP:BLP policy also applies to any content added to this article that mentions people who are now living, such as adding a list of current commanding officers. As far as I can tell, this group is still active and consists of living people, so the attribute I added is applicable to the article. Please explain why you think otherwise. - Cameron Dewe (talk) 11:28, 26 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Cameron Dewe: my logic is that blp should used only at person's articles and musical groups maybe. Otherwise e.g. Estonia can be also blp?! because its president is living. Or any organization whose leader(s) are living? Estopedist1 (talk) 11:46, 26 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Estopedist1: According to WP:BLP section about applicability the "BLP applies to all material about living persons anywhere on Wikipedia, including talk pages, edit summaries, user pages, images, categories, lists, article titles and drafts" - So, yes it applies to the Estonia article if its living president is mentioned in the article or articles about organizations that mentions living leaders, in my opinion. If the article doesn't mention living people, then the flag might be omitted. Although, my addition of the flag on this occasion was somewhat precautionary. - Cameron Dewe (talk) 12:22, 26 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
