The United States Intelligence Community (IC) is a group of multiple U.S. federal government intelligence agencies and other organizations that work by themselves or together on collecting and analyzing information.

The IC is overseen by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) which is led by the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) who goes directly to the president of the United States. The IC was made after president Ronald Reagan signed Executive Order 12333 in 1981.[1]
