[edit]Development
[edit]In June 2025, a sequel to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) film The Fantastic Four: First Steps (2025) was reported to be in development.[1] In August, journalist Jeff Sneider reported that director Matt Shakman was expected to return for the sequel, which Marvel Studios believed would perform better financially than First Steps once the Fantastic Four had been seen in the MCU crossover films Avengers: Doomsday (2026) and Avengers: Secret Wars (2027).[2]
