| Submission declined on 13 October 2025 by Pythoncoder (talk). This submission appears to read more like an advertisement than an entry in an encyclopedia. Encyclopedia articles need to be written from a neutral point of view, and should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources, not just to materials produced by the creator of the subject being discussed. This is important so that the article can meet Wikipedia's verifiability policy and the notability of the subject can be established. If you still feel that this subject is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, please rewrite your submission to comply with these policies. Declined by Pythoncoder 46 days ago. |
Comment: Unfortunately need to decline this draft again, as it doesn’t have sources proving notability. It requires 2-3 sources which are reliable, independent, secondary sources, which talk at length about the topic of the article. This means that sources directly connected with the club (Facebook/website etc) are not eligible, as they are not independent. Hopefully you can find some more sources, and we can revisit the draft, but without suitable sources, no amount of editing the article itself will help its approval get approved. Good luck and keep up the hard work 👍 Absurdum4242 (talk) 16:40, 16 October 2025 (UTC)

Trentham Canoe Club is a volunteer-run organisation offering both competitive and recreational paddlesport activities on Trentham Lake, located next to the River Trent in Staffordshire, England.

The club also runs #ShePaddles and Paddle-Ability programmes, which are national Paddle UK initiatives promoting inclusivity and participation among women and people with disabilities.
History
[edit]Trentham Canoe Club was established in 2006 to promote and develop canoeing and related paddlesports in Stoke-on-Trent and North Staffordshire. The club shares its facilities with Trentham Boat Club as part of the Trentham Watersports Association.
In 2009, a new £350,000 clubhouse was officially opened by world champion canoeist Anna Hemmings, who has won multiple World and European titles. That same year, the club was visited by Lord Sebastian Coe and members of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, recognising its role in promoting grassroots paddlesport in the region.
