Hong Lin
[edit]Hong Lin (born Honglin Li; March 10, 1998) is a Chinese fashion model[1]. She was described as a “modern muse” who bridges artistry, authenticity, and representation in contemporary fashion[2]. Hong made her editorial debut in ELLE USA in September 2020[3] and has since appeared in advertising campaigns for brands such as Gucci[4], Coach[5], and Holzweiler[6]. She has also continued collaborations with Prada and Chanel through social media projects[2]. Hong has been featured in editorial work for W Magazine[7], V Magazine[8], Vogue[9], and L’Officiel, including series produced for Rick Owens[7] and Louis Vuitton[10].
She is now represented by Ford Models[11]in USA and is based in New York City.
Early life
[edit]Hong was born in Kunming, China, and moved to the United States for school during middle school[12]. She later graduated from the Parsons School of Design with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Design and Technology[1].
Career
[edit]Immediately after graduating from the Parsons School of Design in 2020[1], Hong Lin made her modeling debut in the September issue of ELLE USA[3]. In 2021, she appeared in Nordstrom campaign[13] and Moncler editorial[14] for Modern Luxury magazine.
In 2022, she appeared in a Coach campaign[15] photographed by Juergen Teller, as well as Zara’s Chinese New Year campaign[16]. That year she was also featured in L’Officiel Philippines and in Louis Vuitton’s Fall/Winter 2022 story “She Means Business”[17]. Her additional work included the V Magazine editorial “Locked and Leathered”[8], among other projects.
In 2023, she appeared in Vogue China (Vogue+) in the editorial “The Deepest Blue,”[9] as well as in W Magazine for the Rick Owens story “When Your Name Is on the Door.”[7] Her work that year also included the L’Officiel Malaysia editorial “All Shapes and Forms,”[18] features in 10 Magazine, and a Gucci Eyewear campaign with Moda Operandi[19], alongside additional editorial and commercial projects.
In 2024, Hong Lin opened the Attempt show at Shanghai Fashion Week and appeared in a campaign for Holzweiler[20].
In 2025, Hong Lin appeared in Gucci’s Valentine’s Day campaign[4] and opened the Kim Shui show during New York Fashion Week[21].
