1-Butyn (of net Butyn) is 'n alifatiese organiese verbinding met die chemiese formule HC2CH2CH3. Dit is 'n kleurlose, vlambare gas.[3] Butyn neem deel aan reaksies tipies vir terminale alkyne, soos alkynmetatese,[4] hidrogenering, en kondensasie met formaldehied. Op grond van sy verbrandingshitte is dit effens minder stabiel as sy isomeer 2-butyn.[1]
Hidrogenering
